Intel Cloud Services Platform beta Registration Tutorial

The very first thing you need to do to use the Intel® Cloud Services Platform beta APIs is to sign up on the Portal. Once signed up, you’ll get a Client Id, so you can subscribe to services and configure your profile information. This tutorial will guide you through the registration process in a series of easy-to-follow steps.

Go to the Intel Cloud Services Platform beta Portal: https://cloudapi.intel.com/

If you have an existing Intel® Identity Services account, you can log in using it. You can always log in with one of your existing social identities: Facebook, Google+ or Yahoo.

We’ll first show you how to create a new Intel Identity Services account.

Click [Create an account now] button, located just below the Sign In button, This opens a “Create New Account” window.

Intel uses developer profile information for a sole purpose of providing personalized developer services. Last, but not least, we ask you to carefully review and accept Intel Terms & Conditions and Intel Privacy Policy. They contain important information about your rights and obligations as an cloud services platform developer.

After entering your profile information, Intel® Identity Services will need to request access to your data. This allows the service to provide the best and customized experience. However, providing this information is not required and you may choose to leave optional fields blank. We believe the users always own their own data and Intel must request access. You can control the access level of the data in your profile, we will show you in the tutorial Intel Identity Dashboard Tutorial

Before you can start using your new account, it needs to be activated. This standard security procedure helps us make sure that we have a valid email account on file and that nobody is trying to impersonate you by registering with your email address. A confirmation email will be sent from noreply-identity@intel.com to the email address you provided.  It normally takes just a few minutes to receive the confirmation email, which looks something like this:

Click on the “Activate Your Account” button to activate your Intel® Cloud Services Platform account. If for some reason you didn’t receive account activation email, login to  Intel® Cloud Services Platform developer portal with your account credential.

In addition to creating an Intel account, you may use a social Media account.

Below we use Facebook to join Intel Cloud Services Platform.

Login with Facebook information, please review the Privacy Policy as well.

Click the Allow button, which gives Intel® Identity Services access to your data. This is key to creating a profile for Intel Cloud Service Platform.

Once agreed, this will bring you to the  Intel® Cloud Services Platform Developer Dashboard. You are now able to create apps and use the various services.

Now that you have successfully created an account we would like to familiarize yourself with an important account management tool – Intel CSP Identity Services Dashboard (or the Identity Dashboard for short). Please take a quick tour over Intel Cloud Service Platform Identity Dashboard Tutorial.
