Windows 8 App Submission
If you’ve already published a Windows* 7 app to the Intel AppUp® center, your app will automatically be resubmitted to the Intel AppUp® Windows 8 client. After you have created a new Windows 8 desktop compatible app, you now need to submit the app for validation, which is just a very minor change in the Upload Binary step of submission.
1. Log into your developer account and begin app submission. If you do not have an account, please create an account here:
2. Fill out the meta data and go to the Upload Info tab.
3. Select the Windows 8 as the Supported OS Platform.
4. Upload the binary and finish app Submission
For an app currently published in Windows 7, the validation team will migrate all app to Windows 8. If the published app is not compatible, an Intel support will notify the developer.
It is also highly encouraged that you beta test your app on both Windows 7 and Windows 8. Developers who beta test often find they pass validation much quicker and with little trouble.
