Announcing Intel Atom Developer Program Accelerator 2010!

We appreciate your interest in the program. After two years of funding innovative application concepts, the program has been end-of-lifed.

One of the questions we hear most often from developers in the Intel Atom Developer Program is, “how can Intel help accelerate development time, speed time to market and return on investment?”

On March 1, we announced the launch of the Intel Atom Developer Program Million Dollar Development Fund (Fast Track 2010 and Dollars for Downloads 2010). Both these programs received a great response from the developer community.

So, today, I am excited to announce the next phase of the Million Dollar Development Fund, called Intel Atom Developer Program Accelerator 2010. This new addition will provide funds for the development of breakthrough or advanced netbook applications.   We are looking for exceptional, compelling applications that will help bring new consumer usage models to Intel® Atom™ processor-based netbooks, especially apps that demonstrate creativity and show potential for significant growth and broad consumer appeal.

How can you apply for funding? The process is simple – if you have a great idea or an app – either something you are getting started on OR an app that you you’d like to port from another platform, just fill out the online submission form here. Make sure you provide us with as much detail as possible – what makes your application compelling, specific features designed for the netbook audience, why your application is poised for growth, etc..You should hear from us on the funding decision within 3 weeks…

Since we launched the Million Dollar Development Fund, there has been a steady stream of feedback from the community. As always, keep those ideas coming…and share your thoughts with us!
