I would like to suggest to include a software switch on the next G43/45 drivers to

deliver HDMI signal over displayport output. In this way, the customer can connect

their LCD television on motherboard displayport using a cheaper (9$) passive converter (displayport -> hdmi)

many motherboard makers (asus / asrock ) use royalty free displayport with intel G43 / G45 chipset.

In this case, customer needs to buy expensive active converter (80$) to enjoy using intel based

integrated graphical x4500 connected with their HT system.

Intel should take care customer expectation including this option in the future video driver
