Yes, it would be an effort to port to Linux -- there's a lot of COM code. Also the scripting support in Array Viewer depends on Internet Explorer embedded as an ActiveX control. I did some research a while back, and didn't find an equivalent solution with Linux. Project Mono may be worth a look; let me know if anyone hastried using it for writing cross-platform .Net code.

Another issue with the Linux port is that part of the value add of AV was the IDE integration. The only IDE for Linux/Fortran I've heard of is Photran, and I don't know if it has enough critical mass to make an AV-like addon worthwhile.
