[Solved]Visual Debugger Hang

Hi,

I recently got a problem with the visual debugger. It does not crash from the code. The problem is that it plays a couple of frames then it stops playing. Then I click Connect, then it plays a random numbers of frames then stops again. Sometimes it hangs at 2 frames and other times at 1000 frames. Most of the time, it hangs between 2 to 180 frames. Restarting the visual debugger holds the same result as reconnecting on the port 25001.

My application is multi-threaded and Havok is multi-threaded as well.

Any hint on what could cause such behaviors?

[SOLVED] Loading File to the World

Hi,

I am trying to load a hkt file into my scene (actually i am just trying to load any resource file from the demo resources directory). Whenever I add an entity to my world, it crashes and provides me with this error : Insufficient capacity to store child shape AABBs.

I am not sure if I really have a capacity problem (I dont know what to do if it is the case) or if my code is just plain wrong. Anyone could explain me how I could load an havok mesh into the world? I tried looking at many of the examples, but they none seemed to load what I wanted into the world.

How do I get the D3D Device from the demos?

Hi,

I am using the CEGUI into the Havok demos. As the demos are rendered by DirectX, and CEGUI supplies DirectX as well.

But when creating an instance of the renderer in CEGUI, the d3d device is required.

CEGUI::Direct3D9Renderer& myRenderer = CEGUI::Direct3D9Renderer::bootstrapSystem( myD3D9Device );

Cone Cast

Hi,

I am trying to to a cone cast. What I want is to cast a shape in front of my character and see if it intersects anything. Is there such thing is Havok? I tried linearcast which works fine for everything directly in front of me but lacks the angle.

[SOLVED] Havok Visual Debugger with hkpCharacterProxy

Hi,

I am having difficulty showing a hkpCharacterProxy in the visual debugger. The other shapes such as capsules and box are showing fine in both dynamic and static behavior.

My question is: Do I need to do anything special to show the phantom of my hkpCharacterProxy? Here is the initialization of my Character.

Converting .hkx Rigs/Animations from Demo

Hi gang,

I am trying to use the .hkx rigs and animation files from the Havok demo application in my project (for an academic game engine project). I am having real trouble loading in the files, I'm am using basically the same code from the AnimatedSkeletonDemo.

From what I gather from other threads the .hkx files are reserialized on the fly by the demo application (as they were serialized with an old version of the content tools) so I have to reserialze them for the latest version.
