Validation

Failure Reason: ILU03

I am an IEM working with an account who is trying to get their application listed on the Appstore but have failed three times. They have received the following message. " This is to inform you that ReverseIt! 2.0 has failed to meet Intel(R) Atom(TM) Developer Program's validation criteria. Failure Reason: ILU03 - Application launch Additional Comments: launching application from within the store and outside of the store fails. please see http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us/article/troubleshooting-validation-failures for troubleshooting launch issues. thank you! "

Validation failure - ILU01

I recently submitted an application which failed validation which I believe was due to the lack of a launch option in the AppUp Center. However this was intentional on my part. My application always runs on the startup of the laptop so it does not require any manual action by the user. So I am wondering what options I have in order to pass validation? Would any of the following be allowed when the user launches the app from the store?

Application GUI Validation Problem

An application I submitted failed validation and I have a few questions about how to track the problem down. Apparently the issue has to do with the GUI but the message I received is just about the vaguest response possible and I am lost as to what the problems are because the application was designed to be braindead easy to use and basically just has "next" and "back" buttons which takes the user through the process of recovering data from flash media. I looked over the validation guidelines and still don't see why my app would fail.

TIP: Make sure your required DLL's are in the right place to avoid validation failure

This may seem like a no brainer, but with the recent change in validation on how MSI Installation it may get you too. I have to admit that this one got me. I received one of the emails today with the following subject: "Urgent: Please read-Changes to your Atom application are requested" Let's say you have App.exe and RequiredLibrary.dll. When the shortcut to App.exe has a startup path that contains the two files all works well. Now what happens if the startup path changes in your link? Your App.exe will be executed, then fail because it has no idea where to find RequiredLibrary.dll.

What is this rejection reason "DES01 - Content and Description Fields?"

I got this rejection reason for one of my apps. "Failure Reason: DES01 - Content and Description Fields Additional Comments: Rejecting for meta validation error DES01 - Content" What do all these mean? The DES01 code is not in the Validation Guideline, http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us/article/validation-guidelines. And the description doesn't help at all. Without specifics there's no way to fix any of the issue.
