Intel® 20 Questions Online Contest: Frequently Asked Questions
General:
Q: What's the purpose of Intel® 20 Questions Contest?
A: We run Intel® 20 Questions online contest to raise the awareness of the features of Intel® Parallel Studio and help new users get started with the tool. If you do decide to participate in Intel(R) 20 Questions Contest, you will need to have Intel(R) Parallel Studio installed on your system. If you don't have it already, the easiest way is to get a free 30-days evaluation.
Q: I am a resident of <country>. Can I participate?
A: Yes, we designed the contest to be available to all Intel® Parallel Studio users world-wide.
Q: How do I find the right answer?
A: That's easy! ;-) We disgned our questions to have simple answer. You will need to use Intel(R) Parallel Studio to be able to answer the question correctly (free 30-days evaluation). Most of the questions require getting familiar with one of the sample applications which get automatically installed with Intel Parallel Studio. In order to be able to find a correct answer you will need to get familiar with some tool's feature or concept.
Q: How detailed my answer should be?
A: A correct answer is always short: it may be just a number, or up to 5 words (e.g. compiler diagnostics message), or one word (e.g. a variable or function name).
Q: I started evaluating Intel(R) Parallel Studio before the contest and my evaluation license has expired. Can I get an extension?
A: You can register for the second evaluation period. Please follow these instructions:
1. Go to this page
2. Fill out the form
3. You will receive an e-mail and a license file attached to it (*.lic)
4. Copy the license file to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intel\Licenses" (32-bit system) or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intel\Licenses" (64-bit system).
Submission:
Q: How do I submit my answer?
A: First you need to login into your Intel Software Network (ISN) account. Please register with ISN if you don't have an account yet. There are 20 tabs at the bottom of the contest page. We announce the current question's number on Contest Home Page. Click the tab with corresponent question number to read the question. When you are ready to enter your answer, click on "Submit Entry" link. If question is closed (we don't accept answers for it), you will see a link to the correct answer instead.
Q: I submitted my answer to one of the questions and I need to change it. How can I do that?
A: Sorry, you can't change your answer. You might still have a decent chance of winning one of the prizes if you submit correct answers for the rest of the questions.
Q: Are you going to publish new questions on Saturday and Sunday?
A: We publish questions only on business days, Monday-Friday

Q: What are the prizes?
A: The prizes are listed on contest rules page. Four participants will be awarded:
First prize: $500 Gift Card and 1 license for Intel® Parallel Studio
Second prize: $200 Gift Card and 1 license for Intel® Parallel Studio
Third prize: $100 Gift Card 1 license for Intel® Parallel Studio
Forth prize: $50 Gift Card 1 license for Intel® Parallel Studio
