      <description><![CDATA[ The second example in Section 17 is not true for all OpenMP implementations.  It may be required by Microsoft's implementation, but it is not required for Intel's compilers for example.  This article could be updated to conform to the OpenMP 3.0 specification, which requires that locks be owned by tasks, not threads.  Also, I suggest a few examples of tasking pitfalls in OpenMP 3.0.
