Intel^® has joined forces with Box to improve productivity and address regulatory compliance concerns through seamless, standards-based single sign-on (SSO) and other identity features for Box clients. The joint solution leverages internal security and governance policies to better manage assets stored in the cloud.

SSO for Box

As organizations increasingly adopt SaaS solutions, including Box, their users must remember multiple user ID/password combinations for a growing, diverse assortment of systems that they use in their daily work.

Intel^® Expressway Cloud Access 360 (Intel^® ECA 360) increases end-user productivity and convenience with federated SSO for Box. SSO eliminates the need for users to remember their Box account credentials; they only need to click on the Box logo from a secure enterprise portal to seamlessly access Box, or any other supported cloud platform. Industry-standard SAML support ensures your federated SSO solution will keep pace as environments change.

Strong authentication for Box

Companies that store sensitive or private information in Box need to ensure that only authorized users have access to those documents. Or, they may want to selectively enforce strong authentication in certain use cases, depending on who the user is, where they are located, or if they are accessing the solution over a public network.

Intel ECA 360 can deliver adaptive multi-factor strong authentication by requiring users to authenticate with a one-time password (OTP), using a device that they already possess: their smart phone or cell phone. Alternative authentication channels include email, chat/IM, or third-party tokens.

User account provisioning for Box

Intel ECA 360 delivers enterprise-grade user account provisioning, synchronized profile management and automated de-provisioning for Box customers. With Intel ECA 360 you can automatically create/manage/delete your users’ Box accounts. Changes to user identities in your enterprise identity repository are seamlessly synchronized with Box. When the user leaves the organization, Intel ECA 360 can automatically terminate the account, ensuring that former employees no longer have access to your sensitive assets.

Management Reporting and Compliance Audit for Box

Reporting and audit features ensure compliance with privacy legislation, regulatory requirements and corporate security policy. Intel ECA 360 makes comprehensive information about all identity-related events, including failed and successful logins, as well as user attribute changes (add, edit, delete), available to administrators through a management console. Intel ECA 360 also provides out of the box reports, including orphan account detection and analysis.
