I'm trying some examples included on the OpenMP 3.0 specification, and it seems that the 'task' directive is not supported on ICC 10.0. Is this correct?

That is correct. OpenMP 3.0 is supported by the Intel compilers starting with version 11.0. There is an Intel extension called "taskq" that is supported by the version 10.0 compilers, but I would suggest using the OpenMP 3.0 standard version and upgrading to version 11.0 compilers.
