NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
PARTICIPATION
The contest is open to individuals and companies worldwide. Individuals must be 18 or older to enter. Residents and companies of countries under U.S. embargo, including Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria are not eligible to enter. Promotion begins on July 24, 2007, and ends on August 31, 2007. Employees of Intel Corporation, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families of each may not enter. Void where prohibited. This contest is governed under U.S. law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
TO ENTER
Complete and submit the electronic entry form at www.threadingbuildingblocks.org. In addition to contact information, entrants must describe what components of Intel® Threading Building Blocks they used in their open source project and the benefits they achieved. Electronic entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. (PDT) on August 31, 2007, to be eligible. Only one entry per person. Sponsor is not responsible for entries not received due to lost, failed, delayed or interrupted connection or miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions, or due to lost, late, mutilated, illegible, incomplete, postage due or misdirected mailed entries. Sponsor not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by persons entered at the Web site or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this promotion. All submissions become property of sponsor. Entries to the competition can be provided free of charge by accessing www.threadingbuildingblocks.org.
SELECTION OF WINNER
On or around September 18, 2007, winners will be selected from all eligible entries received. The winner will be notified by phone, e-mail or post within seven days of prize drawing. All prizes will be received no more than six weeks after the close date of the competition. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use the winner's name and/or likeness on the Web site for advertising/trade purposes without further compensation. Entrants may be required to sign an affidavit of compliance with these rules, a prize release, and a release for the use of his/her name, likeness or voice for publicity purposes by Intel. If prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if potential winner fails to claim or accept prize within five calendar days of notification, disqualification may result and an alternate winner may be selected. A list of winners will be posted on www.threadingbuildingblocks.org (available after September 24, 2007).
PRIZES AND ODDS
A panel of judges will choose a total of four (4) winners. Judging will be based on two criteria. The first is best implementation of Intel® TBB in an open source project. And second, the benefit achieved from using Intel® TBB in an open source project. The grand prize winner will receive an Intel® Core™2 Duo pr
ocessor-based notebook (Approximate Retail Value $3,000) and have their work recognized at the Intel Developer Forum (September 18-20, 2007 in San Francisco). The first, second and third prize winners will each receive one (1) Apple Gift Card (Approximate Retail Value of $1,000, $500 and $500). Odds of winning will be determined by the number of entries received. No substitution or transfer of prizes, except if prizes become unavailable for any reason Sponsor may award substitute of equal or greater value. Winners accept responsibility for all federal, state and local taxes and fees in connection with the prize. Intel does not provide any warranty on the prize.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Entrants agree to be bound by these rules. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Intel and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, prize suppliers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of prize.

If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
