A few days ago it was determined that, as of September 1st, there is a problem with the authorization tool that grants access to the cryptography files. It is incorrectly granting access to "Cryptography for Intel IPP 7.0" when requests are being made for "Cryptography for Intel IPP 6.1" files. (There are no 7.0 cryptography files posted because the product has not yet been released, this is why in some cases it appears that you cannot locate any crypto files even though you've received an authorization email.)

Until the problem is fixed, I must manually grant access to all authorized requests for the 6.1 files. In some cases this may result in a few days delay before you can access the crypto files, so please check premier periodically for the files.

The issue described above, regarding proper authorization not being automatically granted, has been corrected. Requests for the cryptography add-on library will now "do the right thing."

Note that when version 7.0 of the IPP library is released requests for the cryptography add-on library will be directed to the 7.0 cryptography files. Please see the steps above when making requests for earlier versions of the library.

Hello Heiko,

There have been some situations where multiple logins exist for a single email address, and this is causing download problems for the cryptography library files. I'll ask our IT folks to check and see if yours is one of those problem accounts. Not sure what causes this to happen, very sorry if that is the case.

In the meantime, it is best to register your issue on the IPP forum so the IPP support group can keep track of the issue to be sure it is resolved, these comments are not monitored as freqently as the support forum.

Regards,

Paul
