Reference Number : DPD200112364, DPD200112359
Version : Intel Compilers Pro versions 11.0.xxx, Intel Parallel Composer
Operating System : Windows XP x64, WinServer 2003 x64 Edition. Visual Studio versions with x64 components. does NOT affect 32bit builds on any platform.
Problem Description : During build of x64 configuration the compilation will abort with error in 'FNPLicensingService64' service.
Resolution Status : A fix will appear for this in Intel Compiler products, rolling out between February 2009 and May 2009 (varies by product).
WORKAROUND: There is a workaround for non-evaluation and evaluation customers.
Evaluation licensed customers: Check that you have registered your evaluation compiler and have obtained a license file. License files are (by default) installed in:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intel\Licenses
If you do not have a license file for your product in the location above, please go to https://registrationcenter.intel.com, register your serial number. After registering your serial number and while logged into Intel Registration Center's main page:
NON-evaluation customers (and Eval customers once the previous steps are performed): you should have a license file on your system. If for some reason you do not have your license file, follow the directions above.
Now that a license file is installed on your system:
Open a Windows Explorer window (not Internet Explorer, you want the file browser tool). Browse to:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Compiler
from this directory, use the 'Search' tool.
Search by 'All files and folders'.
for 'All or part of the file name:' enter the text "libFNP.dll"
This search should return somewhere between 3 and 12 files. Select all these files and DELETE them (or move them to a directory outside of ...\Intel\Compiler and rename them).
This completes the work around for FNPLicensingServices errors.
