GPA Tip: installing Microsoft .NET 3.5 SP1

Background:

Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers (Intel® GPA) depends upon non-Intel tools for its proper operation, including Microsoft .NET 3.5 with SP1. In most cases users already have this installed, as .NET is bundled with Microsoft Windows XP* SP3, Microsoft Windows Vista* SP2, and Microsoft Windows* 7. If not, this article provides information on how to download this package.

Installing Microsoft .NET*

If the Intel® GPA installation package states that you must install Microsoft .NET* 3.5 SP1 before the GPA installation can proceed, please download and install the .NET package from this link. After this install has completed successfully (which may take a long time to complete!), retry the GPA install.
