Problem :
Occassionally users cannot load a capture file into Intel® GPA Frame Analyzer. Frame Analyzer reports an error when this occurs, and then exits.

Environment :
This problem has been seen by at least one customer in GPA version 2.0.

Root Cause :
When examining the Microsoft DX* call sequence in the problem capture file, the development team has identified invalid DX calls in the file (for example, multiple "end region" calls appear for the same region). Though invalid DX syntax, the DX libraries do not report the error, which are then identified as an issue by the Frame Analyzer application.

Resolution :
First thing to try is to download version 2.1 of GPA, as this version has improved its algorithms for handling invalid DX calls (specifically, it will "silently ignore" many invalid DX calls that it finds). If the issue still occurs, please report details of the specific problem you are encountering in the GPA Support Forums.
