I recently bought the 'Intel Compiler 11.1' and for an installed Visual Studio 2010 Beta version. However, the 'Intel Compiler 11.1' complains that there is no development environment on the PC.

So, I uninstalled the 'Intel Compiler 11.1' and went to my second PC and installed Visual Studio 2008, and then installed the 'Intel Compiler 11.1' on that PC and the installation seemed to go off without a hitch, appropriately adding the right menu items into the Visual Studio 2008 for the 'Intel Compiler 11.1'.

My question is this: "I would like to use the 'Visual Studio 2010 Beta' instead of the Visual Studio 2008, how can I get the 'Intel Compiler 11.1' to recognize the Visual Studio 2010 Beta that is already installed, just like it recognizes the Visual Studio 2010?"

Dan, please use the user forum to ask support-type questions. http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-visual-fortran-compiler-for-windows/

Intel Visual Fortran does not yet support Visual Studio 2010. We plan to support it as soon as possible after the retail availability, which Microsoft says will be in April.

Virgilio,

Yes, it is. Your system is what we call "Intel 64". If you will be installing Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 separately, rather than using the one included, please read the Fortran release notes for instructions on how to configure Visual Studio for 64-bit development.
