Intel® Cluster Ready Program for Software Vendors

Intel® Cluster Ready: Together We Can Simplify HPC

Expand your high performance computing (HPC) user community through the Intel® Cluster Ready program.
By registering your applications as Intel Cluster Ready, you help ensure system interoperability and give
customers greater confidence in running your applications on HPC clusters. Register your applications with
Intel® Xeon® processor 5500 series-based clusters and unleash even more performance and scalability for
your customers’ toughest HPC applications.

Why Intel Cluster Ready?

Drive application adoption
Offer registered Intel Cluster Ready applications to provide the confidence that applications run as they should, right away, on certified clusters. Whether customers are deploying your application for the first time or scaling it from a workstation to a cluster, they can get to work immediately, without interoperability issues.

Expand application flexibility
Join a growing ecosystem of interoperability. Registered applications can run on certified clusters from multiple vendors, and certified clusters can run registered applications from multiple software vendors. That flexibility enables more customers to experience the power of your application on an HPC cluster.

Streamline customer support
Spend more time innovating and less time troubleshooting. By detecting problems early and accurately, Intel® Cluster Checker simplifies management for customers while enabling you to resolve customer support issues more rapidly.

Registration made simple

Registering an application takes approximately two weeks. Once you accept the program agreement, Intel will send you an easy-to-use manual and provide access to a certified Intel Cluster Ready system. You define the test suite and verify that your application runs successfully on the certified system.

How does it work?

Intel Cluster Ready Specification
The Intel Cluster Ready Specification helps ensure interoperability by providing a common basis for building certified clusters and developing registered applications. Use the specification to ensure your applications will run on certified Intel Cluster Ready systems.

Download the specification

Certified Intel Cluster Ready clusters
Certified clusters have been built according to the Intel Cluster Ready Specification and rigorously tested for component interoperability.

Registered Intel Cluster Ready applications
Registered Intel Cluster Ready applications have been validated on a certified Intel Cluster Ready cluster. Customers can run multiple registered applications on the same certified cluster without rebuilding the software stack or reconfiguring hardware.

Intel Cluster Ready recipes
System integrators use Intel Cluster Ready “recipes” (reference designs) to design and build certified Intel Cluster Ready clusters. Recipes offer excellent starting points, though the Intel Cluster Ready Specification provides the flexibility for those vendors to add components and add value.
