great documents here!

please encourage OEM's to integrate these x3100 (or higher) chips in products with the intel atom cpu... as example it would be wonderful to have this kind of performance+full vista compatibility with computers like Asus EEE or MSI Wind... its a very inexpensive way to boost the performance to respectable multimedia performance/and ok game performance... and many ppl hook up their 7" EEE's anyway to a big screen

this is really great document, now i know why i had a 64MB max. video memory on 512MB ram.
now iam upgrading to 2GB RAM and i think that i should beat some games now.
and windows vista really rocks because the shared memory is not allocated from bios which may be not adjustable on windows xp.

thanks GOD i found this article.

Ok, so you are measuring it correctly. I don't believe that you can change it since it is controlled by the driver. You could however make calls through DirectX to allocate/deallocate from that pool. If you run a game or some other 3D application you should see that value change btw.

shader is a feature of most newer graphics cards (2008 and up) have which is required to play most modern games. Even intel's integrated graphic cards have shader however 128MB graphic cards are fairly outdated these days and the oldest cards to have the shader features are usually 256MB cards. You can search your chipset on google or intel and you should be able to read if your graphics are shader compatible.
