A couple of last-minute notes regarding the 2.1 release of Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers were not able to be included in the release notes that are downloaded when you install the product.
Therefore, please note the following additional items:
- Section 3, System Requirements: You may be able to use an Intel utility to quickly and easily check for the latest graphics drivers; please use Microsoft Internet Explorer* to browse to the following site: http://support.intel.com/graphics/detect.htm
- Section 4, Installation Notes: Though an account with administrator privileges is required to install GPA, you do not need an administrator account to run GPA.
- Section 4, Installation Notes: The installation process for GPA 2.1 does not remove the previous release, GPA 2.0, from your system. However, as GPA 2.1 has additional features and improved reliability and stability compared to GPA 2.0, you do not need to keep GPA 2.0 around unless you have saved frame capture files that you cannot easily recreate (since frame capture files created with GPA 2.0 cannot be used with GPA 2.1). If you no longer require GPA 2.0, you can manually remove this older version through the Windows* Control Panel ("Add or Remove Programs" for Windows XP*, or "Programs and Features" for Windows Vista*).
