Symptom(s):

A call to the OpenCV function cvUserOptimized(1) returns the value 0 for Intel® IPP 5.3. This indicates that OpenCV does not detect Intel IPP 5.3 on the system.

Cause:

The function cvUserOptimized uses hard-coded strings to search the user's system for the latest Intel IPP libraries. This function was not updated to include version 5.3.

Solution:

Please download the updated file cxswitcher.cpp and rebuild your OpenCV library.

Operating System:

OS Independent
