Intel® Parallel Studio includes the Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives (Intel® IPP) library. Your specific Intel Parallel Studio installation package may include only the IPP dynamic library component. If you want to build an IPP-enabled application that is statically linked with the IPP library you may need to download the IPP static library files separately to be installed as part of your Parallel Studio product.
To download and install the Intel IPP static library component of your Intel Parallel Studio product, please follow these steps:
- Log into the Intel Registration Center.
- Go to "My Products."
- Select your "Intel® Parallel Studio" product
(the precise product name may differ from that shown here).
- Select the "Intel® Parallel Composer" component from within "Intel® Parallel Composer."
- Select the version of Intel IPP static libraries. Check the version of Intel Parallel Composer that was already installed at your system, and select the same version of Intel IPP static libraries for the Parallel Composer.
- Select the "Intel® IPP Static Libraries" link of interest and download the installation file.
Run the installation file you downloaded. Following a successful installation, the Intel IPP static libraries will be located in one of the following (default) directories, depending on the specific architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) you installed:
- C:\Program Files\Intel\Parallel Studio\Composer\ipp\ia32\lib
- C:\Program Files\Intel\Parallel Studio\Composer\ipp\em64t\lib
Note: you must first install Intel Parallel Studio before installing the Intel IPP static libraries for Parallel Studio. Additionally, you can only install the version of the Intel IPP library that "matches" your installed version of Intel Parallel Studio.
Note: if you update your copy of Intel Parallel Studio you must also download and update your copy of the IPP static library for Parallel studio, using the procedure described above.
