This is the sample code described in the video:  http://software.intel.com/en-us/videos/hotspot-recompile-pisample/.  It simply computes the value of pi over several million iterations.  It is intended to show how to quickly use Intel(r) Parallel Amplifier to find the hotspot file, the file in which the biggest performance bottleneck function(s) is found.  Then, it shows how to configure the Microsoft Visual Studio project to only recompile that one file with Intel(r) Parallel Composer to optimize it.  Doing so results in about an 80% performance boost, without having to rebuild the whole application.
