I downloaded VTune 9.1 Performance Analyzer this week. I have been attempting to run the an activity created with the Sampling wizard using the class file created from the gsexample2a.java file that comes with VTune. I have attempted to run this activity with the java.exe file included with each of the following: $ /cygdrive/c/Java/jdk1.6.0_05/bin/java -version java version "1.6.0_05" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode, sharing) $ /cygdrive/c/Java/jre1.6.0_05/bin/java -version java version "1.6.0_05" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode, sharing) $ /cygdrive/c/Program Files/imom/7.4/jre/bin/java -version java version "1.6.0_05" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13) BEA JRockit(R) (build R27.6.0-50_o-100423-1.6.0_05-20080626-2105-windows-ia32, compiled mode) My system info is: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86 GHz 1.86 GHx, 3.25 GB of RAM Physical Address Extension Each time I attempt this Sampling activity, VTune shuts down. The call graph for this same application will generate correctly. Any ideas? |
