Effective immediately, the Intel® XML Software Suite has been discontinued as a software product offering. Intel will offer Intel® SOA Expressway as a single solution that addresses XML and SOA performance as well as security requirements for enterprise environments.

SOA Expressway


Intel® SOA Expressway is a software-appliance designed to simplify, accelerate, and secure the Enterprise SOA architecture. It expedites SOA deployments by addressing common SOA bottlenecks - it accelerates, secures, integrates and routes XML, web services and legacy data in a single, easy to manage form factor.





  • SOA without Compromise: Simplifies SOA infrastructure with specialized soft-appliances, with no compromise on extensibility or virtualization.
  • Cost Reduction: Addresses common SOA bottlenecks on standard Intel® Multi-Core servers - accelerate, secure, integrate and route XML, Web services, and legacy code using SOA Expressway, and lower costs by eliminating the need to add more appliances or multiple application servers.
  • Simplified Approach: Eliminate disruption to existing IT infrastructure caused by rigid governance, operational overhead, and lack of virtualization that is typical of hardware SOA appliances. SOA Expressway contains everything you need for a high performance services mediation layer in one comprehensive software solution.
  • ISV and End-User Ready: Available both as a software solution through Intel and its resellers as well as a white-box for software vendors (ISV)

Current Intel XML Software Suite customers interested in transitioning to the Intel SOA Expressway:

  • Customer purchases - can receive credit towards purchase of Intel SOA Expressway by March 31st, 2009
  • 24x7x365 Support provided for SOA Expressway licenses.
  • No cost for on-site assistance, migration & testing to move to SOA Expressway
