Downloading the Intel® IPP Library

The Intel IPP 6.1 Library Bug Fix List is helpful for determining if you are trying to decide if you need to download a new version of the Intel IPP library. Go here first if you are unsure.

Downloading updates to a licensed copy of the IPP library

If you have purchased a copy of the Intel® IPP library, and your license is registered, current and valid, you can download updated versions of the library by visiting the Intel registration center. Only those versions of the library covered by the terms of your license are available to you for download. If you need help downloading an older version of the IPP library (or any Intel software development product), please read this article.

Downloading an evaluation copy of the IPP library

A 30 day free evaluation of the current version of the Intel IPP library is available for download and requires that you supply a valid email address.

Downloading the IPP static library file if you are an Intel Parallel Studio user

If your copy of the Intel IPP library was included as part of the Intel Parallel Studio product you may have to download the static library files separately, since only the dynamic library files are included with the Intel Parallel Studio product. Please read this article for information on how to download the static library components of the library for use with Intel Parallel Studio.

Inclusion of the IPP library with the Intel Parallel Studio and Intel Professional Compiler products

The Intel IPP library is distributed as a standalone product and as a component in the Intel Parallel Studio and Intel Professional Compiler products (and other "suite products"). We attempt to release the standalone version of the Intel IPP library coincidently with new releases of the suite products, so the standalone library and the copy of the library included in the suites are always "in sync."

If you have a registered version of the standalone Intel IPP library, in addition to a copy acquired with a suite product, you can install and use the standalone version of the library alongside your suite product or use the copy of the library that was included with your suite product. Both products contain the same set of functions. The copy of the IPP library provided in our suite products is not a "reduced functionality" version of the IPP library, it is a complete implementation of the IPP library.

If you own a compiler product which contains the IPP library you are entitled to a standalone version of the IPP library.

If you have a current and valid license for one of our compiler products and do not have access to the standalone copy of the IPP library in the Intel registration center, please login to premier.intel.com and ask for access to the standalone IPP library. Your current license information will be confirmed before access to the standalone copy of the IPP library is provided.

Downloading the IPP library for Intel® Atom™ Processors

The Intel® Tools for Intel® Atom™ Processors web site provides links to download the Intel® Application Software Development Tool Suite for the Intel Atom Processor (or just the Atom SDK for short). The Atom SDK contains a version of the Intel IPP library that has been built only for use on the Intel Atom processor on the Linux OS. This version of the library is distributed only with the Atom SDK and with the standalone IPP for Linux library.

Note: the versions of the Intel IPP library that are distributed standalone and with the Intel Professional Compiler and Intel Parallel Studio are compatible with and can be used on an Atom processor. The version distributed with the Atom SDK is designed for use only with an Intel Atom processor.
