Game of the Year

Grand Prize: $10,000 USD + Opportunity to offer game on Steam®**

The professional /independent “Game of the Year” grand prize winner will receive:

• A USD $10,000 cash prize
• Inclusion of their game demo on the Steam®** Demos page
• The opportunity to turn their game demo into a full playable game title and sign a Steam®** online gaming platform commercial distribution contract with Valve Corporation. This will be offered to the winner but is subject to negotiation until both Valve Corporation* and the winner are in agreement.

Game of the Year – Student Category

Grand Prize: $7,000 USD + Opportunity to offer game on Steam®**

The student “Game of the Year” grand prize winner will receive:

• A USD $7,000 cash prize
• Inclusion of their game demo on the Steam®** Demos page
• The opportunity to turn their game demo into a full playable game title and sign a Steam®** online gaming platform commercial distribution contract with Valve Corporation. This will be offered to the winner but is subject to negotiation until both Valve Corporation* and the winner are in agreement.

Game Genre Categories

Prize: $3,000 USD + Opportunity to offer game on Steam®**

All game developers who submit playable game demos that meet submission requirements and are selected by contest judges are eligible for the following prize package in each of the eight (8) game genre prize categories:

• A USD $3,000 cash prize
• Inclusion of their game demo on the Steam®** Demos page
• The opportunity to turn their game demo into a full playable game title and sign a Steam®** online gaming platform commercial distribution contract with Valve Corporation*. This will be offered to the winner but is subject to negotiation until both Valve Corporation* and the winner are in agreement.

• Best Casual Game
• Best Puzzle Game
• Best Strategy Game
• Best Adventure / Role Playing
• Best Simulation Game
• Best Educational Game
• Best MMO Game

Judges’ Choice – Skill and Craft Categories

Prize: $1,000 USD + Opportunity to offer game demo on Steam®**

All game developers who submit playable game demos that meet submission requirements and are selected by the judges are eligible for the following prize package in each of the five (5) judges’ choice / skills / craft categories:

• A USD $1,000 cash prize
• Inclusion of game demo on the Steam®** Demos page

Skill and Craft Categories:
• Best Art Design
• Best Sound
• Best Game with 3D Graphics
• Best Character Design
• Best Use of Game Physics
