Abstract/Overview

Mobile Reference Application is built around the scenario of a real-estate agent who needs a mobilized application for their work. The application lets the agent download real-estate listings to their notebook/tablet PC, and take these listings (which include photo and video information about properties) with them.

Version 1.5 is enhanced to include GPS-based location aware services and complete code for running on a PocketPC. Version 1.5 also enhances the media processing (scene recognition) to be more usable from a .NET application.

This application illustrates a number of key concepts. It shows how you can make an existing application location aware, and how you can communicate with GPS hardware. It also shows how you can integrate DirectX* based media processing capabilities into a .NET application.
