At the Asia Academic Forum 2008 held in Taipei in October – we could see the results of the efforts that we had initiated in 2006. We had helped the Tier 1 institutes in Malaysia China, India and Taiwan to incorporate curriculum changes into their computer science courses and had helped them with Training, Intel courseware, Intel software tools licenses and in some case dual core hardware also.

We also helped them meet the Intel experts and understand the technologies better. Once the entire content and training had been handed over to them, we were working to see how this content could be modified based on academic requirements and also modified in terms of 60 – 90 minute lecture modules and practical.

Also the positioning of these courses as core and elective were arrived upon. In some cases the course was incorporated as an under grad course and in some cases as a Post

Grad course.

We found that the requirements varied by country and by type of course and that no standard curricula would meet all requirements.

We then identified key Faculty across these countries to help us create curricula for their specific countries.  Based on the training experiences and courseware provided – these faculty created the courseware and attached are white papers describing their approach.
