Participation:

These rules (including our Privacy Policy, the www.intel.com Terms of Use and Terms of Service) set out the terms and conditions between Intel Corporation and its affiliates ("us/we") and each participant to the Intel® MID Wiki Contribution Contest ("you" or "participant").

You are eligible to participate in the Intel® MID Wiki Contribution Contest if you register with the Intel® Software Network (ISN) at www.intel.com/software and register for this contest at the Contest Registration page. To participate in the contest you must be 18 or older. The contest is open to individuals worldwide. Residents of countries under U.S. embargo are not eligible to enter. If you register, and submit Content for this Contest, you accept these rules.

The contest begins on June 12, 2008 and ends on July 25, 2008. The contest consists of 6 weekly prize opportunities. Participants may choose to participate in one or more weekly contests but will only be eligible to win once during this contest. A weekly prize will be awarded based on a random drawing from all eligible contest entry forms AND Intel® MID Wiki submissions received for the week. (To be considered in any given week, the participant must complete fully, a contest entry form, AND make a content submission to the Intel® MID Wiki that follows the www.intel.com Terms of Use and Terms of Service, which outlines content submission guidelines in detail).

Employees of Intel Corporation, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families of each may not enter. Void where prohibited. This contest is governed under U.S. law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

To Enter:

The contest requires participants to submit eligible Content (eligible equals' original by submitter, new or edited, in text format, and follows the www.intel.com Terms of Use and Terms of Service, which outlines content submission guidelines in detail) to the Intel® MID Wiki to be considered. To enter, you must complete a contest entry located at the Contest Entry page. You will be asked to enter contact information so that Intel can contact you for contest announcements and prize distribution. Your contact information will be treated in accordance with Intel's privacy policy which you can review at Intel® Privacy Policy. When you are ready to submit your Content go to the MID Wiki to enter your submission, AND to the Contest Registration page, to complete official entry form for this contest.

You agree to submit Content to the Intel® MID Wiki under the following conditions:

Intel does not claim ownership of your contributions including, but not limited to, sample code, content, contest entries, videos, articles data, text, sound, images, diagrams, software, audio, information, graphs, or descriptions or any other contributions you submit to Intel® MID Wiki. By submitting your contributions, you are granting Intel and its affiliated companies the following worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, unconditional rights: (1) to make, have made, use, copy, reproduce, modify, and create derivative works of the contributions, (2) to publicly perform or display, import, broadcast, transmit, distribute (directly and indirectly through multiple tiers), license, offer to sell and sell, rent, lease, or lend copies of the contributions (and derivative works thereof), (3) to sublicense to third parties the foregoing rights, including the right to sublicense to further third parties, and (4) to publish your name or alias in connection with your contributions.

Your contributions will be available to other members and to ensure they are safe and freely usable by other members, you warrant that: you own or otherwise have all rights necessary for you to provide the contributions and grant the rights described above and you do not disclose any information which would constitute a violation of a confidentiality obligation; your contributions do not contain any viruses, worms, spyware, or other components or instructions that are malicious, deceptive, or designed to limit or harm the functionality of a computer; your contributions are not subject to license terms that require any software or documentation incorporating or derived from your contributions to be licensed to others.

You agree to indemnify and hold Intel and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, employees, partners and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of content you submit, post, transmit or otherwise make available through this Contest. you will not disparage other persons, companies, products or services.

No monetary compensation will be paid for any of your contributions.

You release and hold harmless Intel and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, prize suppliers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest or acceptance or use of prizes

If you do not agree to the above terms, do not submit your contest entry.

Wiki submissions and contest registration must be received by 12 midnight (U.S. PDT) of the Friday of each week to be eligible for that week's random drawing that will be conducted from submissions. Intel is not responsible for submissions not received due to lost, failed, delayed or interrupted connection or miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions, or due to lost, late, mutilated, illegible, incomplete, postage due or misdirected mailed entries. Intel is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by persons entered at the Web site or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this promotion.

Selection of Winners:

All eligible Content will be entered into a weekly random drawing (see Participation, #3 in this document for further details and process for random drawing). Weekly winners will be chosen from all eligible entries received from all applicable countries.

Names of winners may be displayed on the Intel® Atom™ Processor Software Developer Community and Intel® MID Wiki pages on Intel® Software Network. Wiki submission constitutes permission to use the winner's name and/or likeness on the Web site for advertising/trade purposes without further compensation.

Winners will be notified via e-mail within 7 days of declaration of the winners and must confirm via email back, the ability to accept prize within 7 days of notification of winning. Weekly winner names will be posted on the contest "winners list" page within 7 days of the weekly contest cutoff date (Fridays).

Entrants may be required to sign an affidavit of compliance with these rules, a prize release, and a release for the use of his/her name, likeness or voice for publicity purposes by Intel.

All prizes will be awarded within six weeks of the date the contest closes (July 25, 2008).

If prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if potential winner fails to claim or accept prize within seven calendar days of notification, disqualification may result and an alternate winner may be selected based on entries received for the same week. Prizes and Odds:

Each weekly winner will receive a (1) $100 USD American Express or Visa gift card. Limited to one winning during contest. Cash gift cards for winners residing outside the United States will be awarded in the local currency for an amount equivalent to $100 USD.

All winners may get their work profiled on the Intel® Software Network site.

Prizes are not transferable and no cash alternative or prize substitution is available and that the sponsor reserves the right to substitute cash or a similar prize of equal or greater value should the prize be generally unavailable.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

The winner accepts responsibility for all federal, state and local taxes and fees in connection with the prize. Intel does not provide any warranty on the prize.

General Conditions:

Intel assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of Content.

Intel reserves the right to modify these Rules and to suspend or terminate the Contest at any time and for any reason, without notice. Intel makes no commitment to update information contained herein.

Intel retains the right to monitor and remove or change any Content Intel deems inappropriate, misleading or offensive or that does not comply with these Rules.

Internet:

If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Intel which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Intel reserves the right at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Intel assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Intel is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Intel on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Contest or downloading any materials in this Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry if such entrant meets the qualifications stated above. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
