Clubhouse Parallel Universe 2009
Welcome to the Clubhouse Parallel Universe! This is your place to learn about parallel programming, see what speakers or webcasts are lined up, or sign up for the High School Threading Contest.
Reminder – Parallelism Bootcamp coming up July 21, 2009. Spend 3 days with software professionals learning how to design & implement parallel algorithms. Register now – space is limited.
Are you a high school teacher in the New York City area and would like to attend a bootcamp for teachers? We are offering a teacher camp the same week July 21, 2009. Take the same training with an extra focus on teaching tips, assessment criteria items that you can use to develop your own parallelism course.
Want to know more about how to get started with parallel programming? Check out Getting Started with Parallel Programming for Multi-Core.
Pilot program with Brooklyn Technical High School - High school threading challenge
We will be announcing at the bootcamp how you can enroll in the HS Threading Challenge. This challenge is the same Threading Challenge that industry gurus have been entering to compete for prizes for the best parallel algorithm design - but with a twist - For BTHS studnets only - the author of the best parallel design for each of the remaining six threading challenges is ellible to win a brand new netbook computer - sponsored by Bank of America. High school winners will be announced on this website.
