Note - There are 2 things that we recommend you do before starting to use this tool. First of all, make sure that you have the VTune™ Performance Analyzer product on your system. If you don't, you can acquire the commercial product or try an evaluation copy. Next, make sure that you have reviewed the installation and usage guide (below). This guide provides a visual screenshot by screenshot display of all user interface interactions needed to invoke and effectively use Intel® PTU.

I use PTU for the first time today and have been blown away! It's a huge step forward, great work!! I'd still love some per frame breakdown (for graphics / games stuff) but maybe it's in there already and I just haven't found it yet.
