Participation:
1.  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The BOT Wars will be held from 1 PM PST on June 1st. to approximately 3 pm PST JUNE 1st , 2007.  All entries received before 3 pm PST on JUNE 1st 2007 will be accepted.
 
2.  Residents of those countries under U.S. embargo, including Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria, are NOT ELIGIBLE.
 
3.  Employees of Intel Corporation, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families of each may not enter.
 
4.  Void where restricted or prohibited by law.

To Enter:
5.  Participants will code their own Bot which they receive from Deevyde Maelstrom on JUNE 1st, 2007.  (He will drop a kit or make it available for people to pick up when they show up at coding camp) and then participate in a BOT war to be organized at 1 pm PST at Intel® Software Network Zone in the virtual world of Second Life.
 
6.  Sponsor is not responsible for entries not received due to lost, failed, delayed or interrupted connections or miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions. Sponsor not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by persons entered at the web site or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this contest or utilized in the promotion or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this promotion.
 
7.  Entries can be provided free of charge by accessing the Intel® Software Network Zone at www.secondlife.com or on Intel Software Network.

Selection of Winners:
8.  On or around 3 pm on JUNE 1st , 2007, a winner will be selected.  Bots will be fighting each other in one-by-one matches until one emerges as the grand winner.
 
9.  Second Life names of winners and their Second Life avatar photos will be displayed on the Intel® Software Network Zone as well as on Intel® Software Network (http://software.intel.com/en-us/).
 
10.  Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use the winner's Second Life name and/or likeness on the Web site for advertising/trade purposes without further compensation.
 
11.  Prize winners must complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within 5 days by return prepaid Federal Express overnight notification or prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
 
12.  If prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if potential winner fails to claim or accept prize within five calendar days of notification, disqualification may result and an alternate winner may be selected. 

Prizes and Odds:
13. The 3 winning participants will be awarded prizes as below: 
a.  First Prize:  Wins an Apple Mac Book Pro with Intel software tools.
b.  Second Prize:  Wins 100,000 Linden dollars.
c.  Third Prize:  Wins 50,000 Linden dollars.
d.  In addition, the winners will have their work profiled on the Intel® Software Network and at the Intel Software Network Zone.
 
14.  Prizes are not transferable and no cash alternative or prize substitution is available and the sponsor reserves the right to substitute cash or a similar prize of equal or greater value should the prize be generally unavailable.
 
15.  Prizes won by a minor will be awarded to a parent or legal guardian, who must sign all required documents.
 
16.  Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
 
17.  The winner accepts responsibility for all federal, state and local taxes and fees in connection with the prize.  Intel does not provide any warranty on the prize.

General Conditions:
18. Entrants agree to be bound by these rules.  By entering, participants release and hold harmless Intel and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, prize suppliers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Contest or acceptance or use of prize.
 
19. Void where prohibited.  This contest is governed under U.S. law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Contest or downloading any materials in this Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
