VPN Settings on AMT Client: (using the “Create a new Connection” Wizard)
General:
Use the “New Connection Wizard” to create a VPN connection
General:
Select Administrator.
Networking: (Go into the properties for Internet Protocol (TCPIP)
General:
Host Name: 10.10.1.1 (IP address of Corporate Server)Options:
Name of Connection: VPN2Corp
Display progress while connectingSecurity:
Select: Typical (recommended settings)Networking:
Validaton: Require secured password
Select: Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)
Type of VPN: AutomaticVPN connection settings on Corporate Network:
Settings: Check all three boxes
Enable LCP extensionsTCP/IP Properties:
Enable software compression
Negotiate multi-link for single link connections
Select: Obtain and IP address automatically
Use the following DNS Server Addresses
10.10.1.1 (preferred)Advanced Settings:
10.10.1.2 (Alternate)
General: select the Use Default gateway on remote networkAdvanced:
DNS: Add the DNS servers in the first box
Select: Append primary and connection specific DNS Suffixes
DNS suffix for this connection: corpamt.com (note: it doesn’t work if this is not set…)
Select: Register this connection’s addresses in DNS
Select: Use this connections’s DNS suffix in DNS registration
Windows Firewall Settings:
Make sure firewall is disabled
No changes to the Exceptions
Advanced: deselect all boxes in connection settings
ICMP: Allow incoming echo request
Allow incoming mask request
Allow incoming router request
Allow redirect
Use the “New Connection Wizard” to create a VPN connection
General:
No devices should be selectedUsers:
Select: Virtual Private Network: Allow others to make private connections to my computer by tunneling through the internet or other network
Select Administrator.
Networking: (Go into the properties for Internet Protocol (TCPIP)
Select: Allow callers to access my local area network
Specify Address Range:
10.10.1.130
10.10.1.150
