Getting Started
Welcome to the Intel® Visual Computing Source. This is your Source for visual computing developer information. The Visual Computing Source is customizable such that you can tailor the content provided to you. Currently you can specify if you are a game developer or a media developer, but in the future, this will expand to cover more options. To ensure that we deliver the most meaningful content to you, please utilize this customization feature.
The Visual Computing Source is broken down into the following key areas:
Learn is where you can browse and view visual computing Case Studies, Videos, and Technical Articles. This content is continually updated so check back often for new content. Case studies provide technical analysis and insight into how others in the industry have used visual computing developer tools to their benefit. Videos provide visual demonstrations of visual computing developer tools in action. Technical Articles provide a variety of information on various visual computing techniques including in many cases code level examples documenting how to develop them.
Tools, SDKs and Libs is where you can browse and download visual computing related developer products that Intel and its partners provide to the community. Each of the Tools, SDKs, and Libs has a detailed product page here as well including product documentation and support links.
Samples are broken into two categories: Tech Samples and Product Samples. Tech Samples are fully implemented C++ code samples that show how to implement visual computing technologies. They are accompanied with documentation such as whitepapers discussing the techniques as well walk through videos of the sample. You can download the full source project or just the executable. Product samples tend to be smaller in scope than tech samples and are focused on demonstrating how to use specific aspects the various Tools, SDKs, and Libs offered to developers through the Visual Computing Source. If you have a question about how to use a specific product and would like to see an example, look here.
Forums are the way we can have a two way dialog. Through the forums, we can help you overcome challenges with the development of your application, help you with the developer tools you are using, and receive feedback from you on how we can improve.
We have developed the Visual Computing Source to provide you all the resources required to successfully architect and implement your visual computing applications for the PC platform.
