MID and Moblin highlights from IDF

By Jeff Moriarty (Intel) (33 posts) on August 21, 2008 at 11:26 am

Tuesday I sat down with Uday Keshavdas, the Intel Consumer Marketing Manager for Mobile Internet Devices, and Steve Paine from UMPCportal.com to briefly discuss what Uday thinks are the high points in the area of Moblin and MIDs at IDF.

I'll be posting links to the Moblin training material after IDF.

I think MID evolution is great and its needed for the consumers. Internet access using a tiny device is great idea without correlating to Mobile handset, carrying notebooks might not possible always to access internet, but a portable device like MID is very much possible to carry all the way.

MID can be a good mate with its extensive and rich feature set, who knows it may replace iPod, walkMan..... in coming future

Intel has showed again, that Intel is the path finder for new technologies, Centrino Atom series for example.

I looking forward for the Moblin training material from IDF San Francisco. Any news when and where to find those?
