Intel® Black Belt Software Developer Program Launch

On Tuesday night the Intel® Black Belt Developer Program was launched and the first Black Belt Software Developer Awards were presented, the first of which was given to Igor M. Levicki. Igor, unlike many of the recipients, is not an Intel Corporation employee but rather a member of the wider community who is known for his exceptional knowledge of assembler, C, and C++ on the IA-32 and EM64T platforms. Along with Igor several Intel employee's also received the Intel® Black Belt Developer Award and I was very privileged to be among the first seven Intel® Black Belt employees. It was nice to finally meet Aaron Tersteeg and Ylian Saint-Hilaire whom I've been e-mailing back and forth every now and then since joining Intel Corporation in March last year. Ylian Saint-Hilaire was also awarded the Intel® Black Belt Developer Award and it was cool to find out that he and I are two Black Belts who are also pilots.

I'd like to thank Scott Apeland and Gunjan Rawal for pioneering the Intel® Black Belt Software Developer Program and thinking to include me in the initial few award recipients, I am very honored indeed.
