Lightning chat from Darrin and Dave

arrin Johnson, senior manager at Sun in the Solaris Core Kernel group, in a super brief video on our collaboration on OpenSolaris and the new Intel Xeon 7400 Series processor. This vid was done as part of the launch of the 7400.

This video is perfect for those with extremely limited attention spans. It's less than two minutes long, high production values, kind of like geek MTV (back when MTV played music videos). In contrast, my 5 minute videos on OpenSolaris and Intel seem lengthy by comparison. Check it out.

By the way, Darrin is one of the reasons working in the OpenSolaris community is so productive, one of the reasons my job is so much fun.

Original video source.
(We actually did one take with "Shrek" ears on, but it must not have survived the editing suite...)

@Edward - We're working hard on the Xen (xVM) front, definitely.

Hi Dave, this place has been very quiet for about a month, which is unususal, are you still engaged with OpenSolaris on Intel?

Thanks,
Jim
