Summit devoted to the scientific and strategic positioning of Computer Science in Europe

I will be attending this upcoming Thursday and Friday in Zurich the European Computer Science Summit 2008 .

The main objective of the Summit is to examine ways in which deans, department heads, and research directors in Informatics can work together to improve teaching and research, implement the Bologna process, can influence the policies of their universities, governments and the EU, and take joint initiatives on many other issues.

The Summit is organized by 'Informatics Europe', an association which is doing great work in trying to foster the development of quality research and teaching in information and computer sciences. Their 5 working groups are especially useful in the information they are gathering on the state of CS education in Europe.
