Confront the challenge with allies

Popularizing parallel programming is a known challenge. To master the techniques that used to be mainly skill sets of High Performance Computing (HPC) people may be frustrating to developers from other worlds than HPC. That is true - Rome was not built within one day.

Fortunately, there had been efforts trying to ease the pain, from the four steps of "Designing and Building Parallel Programs" to "Three Things You Need to Teach About Parallel Programming". There are also other approaches trying to illustrate the basic techniques by examples. So why can't we solidate to make an alliance, and create something like "parallel programming in a nutshell" to conclude the essentials of parallel programming?

It is also true that different people do have different tastes (programming language preference like Win32 or Java API). But it is also possible for us to summarize the common practices useful to most of the people. Interested? Let's discuss in here.
