Find the fun...
By Bruce Mossman (Intel) (7 posts) on November 4, 2008 at 11:46 am
One of my favorite lines from Walt Disney's "Mary Poppins" just before she breaks into melodious chorus on sugar making medicine so much better, Julie Andrews remarks if you "find the fun, the job's a game."
Unsure if that's the order in which it happens - but I did get that sense from Aaron Murray, co-founder of a game company called Tandem Games. Aaron is one of those genuinely good people who makes good things happen. (You'll get a better sense for his personality by waiting for the outake at the end of this video segment he taped while at Austin GDC.) He provides some insight into the game that they developed in about six weeks and considerations they made to support Intel graphics. At about 1:56 - he responds to my prompt about his target audience. Made me laugh anyway.
If you're interested - his story is also being featured on the Intel Software Partner Program gamasutra developer center - Play With The Whole World.
If you're out there making fun software things happen on Intel hardware - let me know. You can reach me at bruce.mossman@intel.com.
