Video chat: how to become a Black Belt Software Developer

Additionally to Ralph's and Edmund's interviews during Microsoft Tech-Ed EMEA 2008 we were lucky and had the opportunity to video chat with Beatrice Fraedrich from Intel, Munich about the Intel Software Network.

So we learned a lot about ISN and that it's a well-established knowledge base for software developers as it offers the opportunity to connect with Intel’s network of developers. There you can find blogs, forums, tools, downloads and much more. Moreover Beatrice broke the secret of the benefits you gain from the Intel Software Network. So she talked about online trainings, webinars, free information and the different programs and contests.

Finally Beatrice shared her thoughts on the quite new Intel Black Belt Software Developer Program which was designed for developers to recognize their contributions to the Intel Software Network. So we heard that you can you become a green, brown or black belt member depending on the level of your contribution. And of course we wanted to know how you can reach the level "black belt member" which has a lot of benefits. So, the black belt is given away by an Intel panel of experts which looks at quality, quantity and technical expertise of the contributions and nominates the developer to this status.

If you are chosen as a black belt member you are really lucky: You receive a welcome gift, a laptop, licences to selected Intel Software tools, a free pass to Intel Developer Forum and many more. So, what are you waiting for?
