So, Microsoft Tech-Ed EMEA Developers 2008 is history and we had a lot of fun, great technical chats with people, crowded tech sessions and deep interest in Intel programming tools. So we counted more than 200 people at Ralph‘s and Edmund‘s tech sessions, several hundred guys at the Intel stand and the same number of participants during the raffle. Seems as if an HP laptop is an attracting thing!
And we covered a lot of Intel topics during Tech-Ed very intensely as we found several answers for some compelling questions beforehand:
But we were busy during Microsoft‘s developer conference as well. So we talked to Microsoft‘s parallel guru Steve Teixeira who has a lot to tell about parallel programming. We also had the opportunity to chat with Ralph de Wargny and Edmund Preiss from the Intel Software & Services Group who told people in their tech sessions a lot about multi-core software development with appropriate Intel tools. Ralph's and Edmund's tech sessions we watched with our video cam as well.
What Intel has to do with green, brown and black belts we heard from Beatrice Fraedrich who works for Intel Munich as well. If you want to be part of the developer community and benefit from it you should listen to her closely.
So, summing it up, Microsoft Tech-Ed EMEA 2008 was real fun and we learned a lot about Windows developer's needs and what they think about Intel multi-core tools. And we found out that tapas are not equal tapas and that wine can taste like honey if you chose the right one. Tech-Ed 2009, we are looking forward to joining you again. Hasta la vista, Barcelona, and hopefully see you next year!
