You've got something on your Face.....book

Is it just me or does it seem like Facebook is starting to explode? In the last several months I've connected to numerous old school friends, been tagged in photos that I wish didn't exist, received "friend requests" from people I don't know, and even received a "sea garden request" (what the heck is a sea garden request?) While I've thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting to my old friends, I certainly can do without all the extraneous requests and applications that keep piling on. So that brings me to a few questions I want to pose.......
Are any of you using facebook for business related issues or is it all fun and personal?
Are there any cool applications on facebook that would work in a business community environment?
Are companies that try to actively participate in facebook heading for the same result as those who swore by their involvement in SecondLife?
Feel free to respond to any of these questions or just comment on your facebook experiences in general. And please....no more "drinking requests" - people are starting to think that I have a problem.

| I use FB to keep connected with friends and family. Some are silly and like to send things as you mentioned, I tend to avoid that though I'm not one to forward an email either. Enjoy the holidays browsing FB to see what all your friends are up to ;-) |
