Windows 7 Beta Fish on Windows Server 2008 R2
By Doug Holland (Intel) (249 posts) on February 28, 2009 at 4:55 pm
After testing both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for sometime I have grown somewhat fond of the betta fish background on Windows 7. Windows Server 2008 R2 however doesn't have this theme although you can install the backgrounds from Windows 7 into Windows Server 2008 R2 with ease.
On a machine running Windows 7 simply copy all the files from the following folder to the same folder on the Windows Server 2008 R2 machine.
C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\
Given the Windows 7 desktop background of the beta fish is there because the operating system is in beta it could go away in the RC and RTM builds. You might therefore want to make a copy somewhere and when the RC and RTM builds are available simply place it back into the aforementioned folder.

Hey Shmuel, Thanks for the kind words and yes a Goldfish would make a nice touch for the gold version. I wonder what fish we could have for a release candidate? - Doug |

Well, I guess that if they in fact remove the Betta when the beta version is over... there might be a Goldfish for the gold version :).
(some more speculation on the Betta wallpaper here: http://news.softpedia.com/news/The-Story-of-the-Windows-7-Beta-Fish-101857.shtml)
