A new website analyzes text through word choices and usage, and then makes a determination of the personality type of the person who wrote the text. One interesting application of this technology is to send the website a link to your blogs and see how it responds.
Here’s the link to the Typealyzer site so you can send links to some of your text and find out how your writing is seen.

Here’s an article from BusinessWeek discussing how the website works.
I sent different blogs to the analyzer and it would make different judgments for nearly every blog I sent it. I had fun reading the response and thought many of you fellow bloggers out there might enjoy this tool. It’s possible that with time, refinement and enough sample text it could be rather interesting to see what it comes up with!

I think it's for entertainment purposes only, unless it's improved of late:

Sorry about the formatting of the previous comment--didn't realize it would ignore newlines and not auto-link URLs. :-(
Daniel,
thanks for the comment and yes I found it mostly entertaining and didn't feel it was very serious. It none the less interesting and shows that possibly down the road things such as this could provide valuable insight.
Thanks again, Dale
Just tried the Typealyzer on my blog, and either it got me totally wrong or I need to get to know myself better. :-) Of course, there is yet another explanation: My blogging personality and non-blogging personality do not, in fact, overlap. Hm...
