A little list of portland tech event links

This afternoon I needed to provide a coworker with a list of links for local (Portland Oregon) events.

I thought it would be something valuable to share with you too.

The links actually cover tech, blogging and entrepreneur oriented events. Many of the events found at these sites are free or very low cost. All of them provide a great opportunity to meet people and learn a little about the subject at hand.

While attending one of these events myself I had a little epiphany: in the age of digitally connected everything - the face to face and handshake connection is still very very important ...and fun!

Here's the list:

Oh - and I'll be attending the Portland Web Innovators event tomorrow.

Thanks for including my blog on your list! Yes - networking with people Face to Face has been very useful for me too. It's where I've made all of my connections. Social networking is like having digital business cards with people that you've really connected with offline.

Hi Amber - thanks for your comment.

I certainly agree with you that social networking enhances the connections that we've made offline.

I'm still learning about social media and I've been looking for anything and everything to read about it. Its great to hear thoughts like yours.
