Another exciting news to share. Yesterday, Imad Sousou, the MeeGo Technical Steering Committee co-chairman, announced the MeeGo v1.0 project release. This release provides developers with a stable core foundation for application development and a rich user experience for Netbooks. This is the latest step in the evolution of MeeGo. MeeGo v1.0 is the first release to the community following the announced merging of Intel’s Moblin and Nokia’s Maemo operating system projects. What does this mean for members of Intel Atom Developer Program and developers of applications for Intel AppUp Center? When Intel Atom Developer Program SDK support is available for MeeGo, we will notify you. In the meantime, get ready for MeeGo. Check out the MeeGo website (http://meego.com) for more information, download, test, and provide feedback!

Intel Moblin + Nokia Maemo = MeeGo
MeeGo + forthcoming Intel/Nokia chip = hardware + software
hardware + software = solid, reliable platform for users and developers alike
