Serially attending meetings can have any range of interesting ramifications... particularly if you're trying to be an active talking participant (in other words a contributing member of society). Call it bloated tongue or adrenaline, but at one point during the day, the words "application and company profile" initiated raucous laughter during one of the day's [...]

After recently acquiring a netbook, I was intrigued by the "rush" to upgrade to Windows 7... I'm always crazy for the sleek interface upgrade and any new application interactions. I will admit to being more than a little intimidated by the copy-to-USB-drive-and-reinstall-every-three-days running procedures. However, I am looking forward to upgrading shortly. I would be the last one to admit I would be consumed by playing social networking games on Facebook... Farmville, Pirate Wars, Castle Age. I mean, I used to play the occasional Bejeweled and even Solitaire when I had a few minutes to kill. Now, nearly obsessed, I am logging on - just to see [...]

I was intrigued by a comment from an analyst at Evans Data Corporation recently about trends in mobile application development - particularly around Linux application development ranking higher in the US for mobile applications than in the rest of the world. Ranking fifth in terms of popularity, I wondered what benefits developing in Linux or [...]

Find the fun...

One of my favorite lines from Walt Disney's "Mary Poppins" just before she breaks into melodious chorus on sugar making medicine so much better, Julie Andrews remarks if you "find the fun, the job's a game." Unsure if that's the order in which it happens - but I did get that sense from Aaron Murray, [...]
