Just when I said it was slow...European Union yeasterday selected DVB-H as the recommended mobile TV standard. This might get things rolling? http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=technologyNews&storyid=2007-11-29T121827Z_01_L29516007_RTRUKOC_0_US-EU-TELECOMS-TELEVISION.xml This will probably crack the chicken and egg problem and get device manufacturers to launch more than one (if any) model supporting DVB-H. /Jonas

The question [...]

Back after a long and nice summer. Not to much TV watching for me during the summer as I think a good book fits the beach much better... With the Athletics World Campionships that just has started, things change however. The competition is in Japan, giving the effect that you are not always (=almost never) close [...]

Last couple of weeks I have used quite a cool setup. I have a Pinnacle PCTV to Go box on top of the settop box at home. This allows me to stream out TV (recompressed to H264) to a client on the Internet. (We dont see Slingbox in Europe...). Nothing very new in that... However: I have used an UltraMobile PC with [...]
